St Marys Cemetery Overhead Lighting

Client Brief

Penrith City Council contracted SLD to upgrade the failed existing solar lighting at St Mary’s Cemetery. Lighting was installed to deter vandalism and unruly behaviour.

Assessment

Client brief involved instruction on the area to be illuminated, the programming required and must offer a quality solar lighting product with a long warranty and proven reliable performance. Client advised component parts must be available locally. Council provided lighting columns.

Outcome

Initial consultation was completed using NearMaps to deter main site orientation, lighting output and distribution pattern required to fulfill councils requirement. The 30w Eco Blade Area Light was recommended, and council accepted product as they provided the correct distribution pattern for the site and offers three selectable programmed modes of operation that suited council needs.
