Shellharbour Carpark Lighting Project

Client Brief

Shellharbour City Council contacted SLD as the council had been made aware of risks of trips and falls at the curb of Shellharbour War Memorial Park carpark, as the area was only moderately illuminated at night.

Assessment

After assessment of the area, it was noted, the carpark was almost completely open area with no tree cover, which made for straight forward and easy installation.

Outcome

SLD installed the Eco Blade Area Light, mounted at 3500mm on a powder coated black column. Typically, the mounting height for this product would be 4-5 metres, though installing it lower ensured a greater intensity of light at the hazard, minimising future risk of injury, achieving the clients aim.
