Penrith Cemetery Overhead Area Lighting Installation

Client Brief

Penrith City Council contracted Solar Lighting Designs to upgrade the failed existing solar lighting at St Stephens Cemetery. SLD’s lighting was installed to enhance the area’s security and act as a deterrent to vandalism. 

Assessment

The client instructed SLD on the areas to be illuminated and after conducting an onsite assessment, the placement of the lights was determined. Our 30W Eco Blade Area Light proved to be the obvious choice for this project due to the light’s speciality in low traffic areas, having a 3-4 metre mounting height and the use of three custom lighting programs.

Outcome

The 30w Eco Blade Area Light’s were accepted by council as they provided the correct distribution pattern for the site and offered selectable programmed modes of operation that suited council needs. The lights were installed in a timely manner and have been a significant upgrade to the cemetery’s safety and security.
