Coonamble Shire Council Pathway Lighting – Stage 2

Client Brief

Our ongoing collaboration with Coonamble Shire Council involved the installation of additional Solar Pathway Lighting to further illuminate the area. This was to illuminate the park pathways adequately in the late afternoon and the early mornings, frequently used by dog walkers and residents. Because Coonamble Shire Council were so pleased with SLD’s previous work, they wanted to expand in stage 2.

Assessment

After thorough discussions with council representatives in stage 1 of the project, two main requirements were dictated. One, any proposed light fitting would need to operate in a way that accommodated the dog walkers that use the path in the late afternoon and early morning. Two, the lights fittings needed to be high security, as there was a concern for potential vandalism. These requirements were of equal importance in the new stage of the project.

Outcome

Coonamble council were extremely happy with the previous lights, asking for the same Atlas 40w and 60w Overhead Solar Light fitted with custom build vandal resistant cages. The Atlas 40w and 60w has several smart preprogrammed modes offering flexibility.

Coonamble Shire Council was so pleased with the outcome of the first order, they ordered the same lights again to extend the lighting footprint across the park, in this second stage of the project.
